Shipping policy
We typically ship within 1-2 days of purchase for prints. Custom orders are on a case by case basis depending on the size and detail. During busy seasons, like the holidays, shipping can take an extra day or two.
We package all of our items to arrive safely to the buyer. We do photograph the items as they're being packaged in case of unforeseen issues where an insurance claim needs to be filed. We use third party shipping insurance. If in the rare event your item arrives damaged. you agree to hold on to the item and packaging and aid in the claims process.
LOST OR DAMAGED PACKAGES:
RichardHartArt is not responsible for any packages lost or damaged once shipped. Please contact the post office or other shipping service if used. All items are wrapped and packaged securely. If you'd like Signature Confirmation, please request in a note during Checkout. The postal service doesn't consider a domestic package lost until 30 days after the shipping day. No refunds will be made prior to the 30 days. In the event of damage, the buyer needs to take pictures of the damaged items, all wrapping and inside and outside of the box, as well as retain these items for insurance purposes.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: buyer is responsible for knowing if purchased item is allowed to be imported to their country. Buyer is also responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes, or other charges. These are separate from the cost and shipping of your item. If an item is returned because the buyer refused to pay the VAT, duties, taxes, item not allowed for import, etc., a refund will not be given. If an exception is made by the seller, then a refund for the item will be issued minus any charges made to the seller. Refund will NOT include shipping costs. EU regulations do not apply to this shop, if that changes then the buyer has 14 days to contact seller and all shipping costs to and from will not be reimbursed.
Some items shipping internationally can take longer since, in many instances, needs to cross an ocean to arrive at its destination. An item is not considered lost until 45 days after the shipping day. No refunds will be made prior to the 45 days.
Please make use of your tracking/label number and monitor your package's progress. Your postal service may require you to pick up your item. Any parcel not collected will eventually be returned to the seller. If this happens, we can resend your package which will require the buyer to pay a second shipping fee. However, if the buyer chooses to cancel the order, we will refund the purchase price of the item excluding shipping fees.
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES: International shipments are shipped USPS. Buyers are responsible for all customs, duty fees, and taxes. Customs, duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or tariffs could be applied to your package at the discretion of your local customs officers or post office and are not included in the sales price. I do not have any control over customs and the packages they randomly inspect, and packages I ship are no more likely to be inspected than any other package.
